There are many mental health issues which have developed as a result of the effects of lockdown and the the pandemic. Lack of access to usual coping strategies such as visiting friends or going away has pushed many people of all ages over the brink into depression and anxiety related states.
Access to counselling via the NHS means long waiting lists and private counselling is expensive and beyond the means of many people.
An app could be created where people could access help there and then at no cost to them. Counsellors would be government-funded and is another income opportunity for them.
The details would need to be thrashed out but this would be another source of contact for those who feel they need help during the aftermath of the pandemic.
