Changing newly found community strength into long-term muscle

The pandemic raised British volunteerism to a new level as people emerged from their homes to help their neighbors, many of whom they had never met before. Here we created volunteer networks and in the process strengthened our communities by building trust and self-reliance. The challenge we face now is how to convert this newly found strength into long-term muscle. The opportunity for Britain is enormous – by building this strength we can become better functioning communities, societies, and countries within the United Kingdom.
