Covid 19 has brought communities together. On the whole it has revealed a large section of the population who are willing to help their neighbours and look after their environment for the common good. The lockdown has given these people time to really think about what is important in life and to make changes however small. People love having a purpose in life and we should capitalise on this. Young and old could work together helping to inspire young people and energise the older generation, learning from each other and creating a sense of well being.
Community Resilience needs to be established as part of our everyday lives so that when another pandemic or disaster happens the strategies are already in place to deal with it.
