I am focusing on one small aspect of Covid-related waste, which could be remedied, right now. Due to lockdown and the tier system, cafes are providing take away drinks, but always in disposable cups that rarely get recycled. I know. I have asked to use my re-usable mug and they can’t ‘because of Covid’. I am not asking anyone to endanger themselves or each other but there surely must be a solution. How can we hold our heads high when we host the Climate Change Conference in November, if such waste goes unchecked?
