Education has been spasmodic throughout 2020. Children will be at completely different stages depending on their home circumstances and their own determination. Individual students will have different gaps in their knowledge and in their skills. A class teacher will find it very difficult to bridge those gaps unless they can be identified and addressed on a small group basis. Attempts at whole class teaching will lead to boredom for some and mystification for others.
