We have all learned to use use zoom and now we know that many of us don’t need to go to an office to work effectively. Freedom from commuting and the flexibility of working from home will make people resistant to returning to the old work paradigm. Employers have got used to managing a remote workforce so now many people can live anywhere and still be effective. People will possibly choose to move back to the place they were brought up or to towns and villages for a better quality of life and more space. We will have to rethink where people live and what we build.
