One of the challenges highlighted by the pandemic is that there are a significant number of children who don’t have access to a laptop at home. Clearly this is a massive problem when we are in lockdown and school provision has moved to online teaching. Children are having to improvise and although there are plans in place from Government to provide laptops, clearly this takes time and in the interim local communities are stepping in. The pandemic has therefore highlighted an issue of social inequality affecting thousands of children every day in their ability to complete their education., The question is, how can a child effectively complete their online teaching/homework without ready access to a laptop/tablet at home?
