It is acknowledged that COVID 19 and all that has been brought about by the pandemnic has exposed a so called post code lottery of inequalities throughout Britain.
Communities are losing trust in the political system and supporting simplistic populist solutions and at the same time politicians in Westminster don’t understand the psychology of their constituents. The London bubble seeks to impose “woke” interpretations of events onto the population in what is seen to be an increasingly irrelevant manner.
People who want to go into politics start their career in London and then seek a constituency. What is needed are confident local people who understand how poiltics works but who are truly grounded in the constituency that will elect them.
This disconnect is very obvious in the four nations of Britain and also in the English regions.
