COVID-19 has shown the lack of resilience in our current paradigm and a democratisation of the UK food system is more important than ever. Individuals are visiting food pantries in greater numbers than ever before, thousands have been furloughed with no end in sight, and small businesses are closing at an exponential rate. As COVID-19 persists and Brexit begins, it is more important than ever that we find equitable solutions to our fractured and incoherent food system.
