To compensate for the disruptions to the progress of their education and the destruction of their aims and ambitions.
Here we are talking about the future of our country: of individuals, of families, of communities, of county and the wider world.
This pandemic has emphasized what I consider to be an almost complete wastage of talent and opportunity in and for the young people in our country. For some young people, progress in education is a matter of fact but for the many life seems to gradually empty itself after year 10. Where is the opportunity for them to exert their future prospects? Fine, if there is the full backing of family support but even then part of the life exercise needs to help them “find themselves”. All young people need this.
In my experience I have found many inspiring young people in all walks of ability and ambition.
