In most rural villages in Africa, Hunger and diseases such as diarrhea, typhoid, food poisoning has been attributed to unhygenic exposure of foods on walk ways and open air. They spend huge amount of money on drugs and sometimes death occurs when they cant afford.
Saddning, Food waste has been noted to immensely contribute to adverse climate change through greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The carbon footprint of wasted food is approximately 3.3 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) released into the atmosphere on an annual basis. Such wastage strain resources, causes adverse public health challenges, Hunger and sometimes Death.
