Having targeted older people with the vaccination rollout we can be confident that hospitalisatons will decline steadily. The priority for the next phase of the vaccination program should shift to the high spreader groups. There is plenty of data now particularly from the Zoe Tracker app as to where these groups abound. It is particularly young adults and disadvantaged areas. The differences in R rates in these groups is around 0.4. These should be the UK’s next priority to reduce vaccine spread and get down to zero as soon as possible.
