The pandemic forced us to evaluate and, hopefully, appreciate our local environment. Hitherto under-utilised parks became a throng of activity and provided an invaluable resource to give us the physical and mental resolve to overcome the straightened times. We need to add to that. We need to add ecological complexity and improve our local environment. Encourage people to continue to choose means other than the car that helps them connect to their local community. We need to restore and give a helping hand the bees and insects that are so valuable to this cause.
A practical way this can be done is to make more of bus stops – specially green roof them – such as the example provided in Utrecht:

[I have made some contacts on this front. I would look to use the prize money primarily for implementing this idea and in the long run may have a way of formulating this on a cost-neutral basis for the council.]
