How britian can save the world with cereal boxes.

First of my key two scentances of research:

91% of plastic is not recycled only nine percent is recycled. 79 percent goes into landfills or into the natural environment as litter.

As a year 10 student taking design & technology for my GCSE I chose to solve how much materials are sent to landfill causing pollution. My immediate conclusion was to wipe oit cereal boxes all together and here’s how it is going to happen:

Each household owns 5 – 6 wooden cereal boxes this means that cereal box companies can save money also graphic designers will not lose their jobs but more on that in a bit. The second stage is supermarkets will have containers each cereal each having a few scoops fir people to fill their wooden cereal boxes that they brought to the supermarket. Each large containers will have a label determining which cereal it is, the label will also include what it contains e.g sugars, fats, carbohydrates etc. The label will also include the cereals’ design from the origonal packaging meaning graphic designers will not lose jobs.

No new space is needed in the supermarkets themselves as shelves the containers can take the origional space of the cereal boxes.

This idea will help waste going to landfill and I do not see why you would not consider this .
