National online and TV learning service

We should develop a national online and TV learning service, like BBC Bitesize but more comprehensive, that would prevent children yo-yoing in and out of school, enabling them to learn at home and at the same time preparing them for this digital century!

This should be on BBC TV as well as online, as some families still have difficulty getting online.

Teachers or tutors should be available to give online and telephone support to families from this service directly. This is because some teachers are still having to teach in schools, and can’t be expected to teach other pupils online at the same time.

The Government could recruit tutors from the Local Authority lists of registered tutors.
