REMOTE DELIVERY OF HEALTHCARE SERVICES .

Having identified or established the fact that the Covid-19 crisis has clouded the vision of most health care professionals and even the whole populace and that a lot of people are wasting away, dying from other forms of illnesses and ailments due to their fear of going to the hospital to receive proper medication which has posed to be a major challenge;and so I’ll be bringing forward an idea or innovation in this section,I’ll be discussing my innovation on how this problem can be fixed and capitalized on. My innovation is in 3 folds covering the entire society. I’ll be introducing the idea of Telemedicine .This involves remote delivery of Health care and Health Information. This involves making use of mobile apps to access Health Care, that way just by having the app on your phone, you can have access to a medical or healthcare professional. This app will feature Dentists,Therapists Nutritionists, other medical professionals etc. Also, the app Can also have features such as Medical facts. Also the health care fees would be paid directly on the app just by imputing your pin. There’ll be option for Voice Call or Video Call depending on the preference of the patient. These professionals would walk each patient through their healing process, prescribe drugs and by fixing appointments and follow up sessions just to check on each patient and to report their progress. Day by Day, Telemedicine is revolutionizing healthcare however, the aim of this particular innovation is to deploy solutions and programs and help patients who are suffering from other medical ailments other than the virus during this Covid-19 crisis to receive care from home and minimize the risk to health care workers and even the public and Also cut down Health care costs, provide a Convenient and Efficient Treatment and provide access to health care without the fear of contacting the virus. As Telemedicine becomes more widely used and accepted,Insurance companies and government administered health care programs are stepping up to cover such care Health care providers are learning to trust the value of Artificial Intelligence based software for example such software can be used to identify the pulmonary nodules in Chest X -rays and determine whether moles are malignant. Through the reviews from similar apps,I’ve found a gap which this innovation can bridge, some have logging in issues, geographical location problems,Payment issues,App Crashing however, these issues can be improved upon In this New innovation. Also, the App can be made affordable by joining hands with Internet service providers to ensure that the rates are fully subsidized. By also conducting an intervention,It will reveal how well people would respond to it and I have reasons to believe that if it has all the features they need, and it’s passed on to policy makers who’ll ensure it’s approved and encouraged by the government,The populace will embrace it. On this App,Patients would be followed up by the medical personnel and there will be room for scheduling appointments. There’ll be room for feedback immediately after using the app and patients would on a scale of 10,Pick how useful the app was to them that way proper feedback is received on what to work upon and a two -way feedback communication is also encouraged .This particular innovation has a competitive advantage in the market due to the Covid-19 crisis, According to Statistics,It was predicted that before the pandemic, telemedicine market size would increase to $41.2 billion by 2021.Also,according to research customer adoption of the use of telemedicine has accelerated from 11% as at 2019 to 46% of consumers using telemedicine .Also,57% of providers accept telemedicine more favorably than they did before Covid-19 and are more comfortable using it. It shows that this innovation is a good one and if leveraged upon well would yield good results because not only will it be affordable but also accessible which are the 2 key things consumers consider before purchasing a product. This will help separate those who need urgent medical attention and those who can be attended to online. I’ve also been able to identify Some risks :How to ensure the app doesn’t crash when lots of people are using it. -privacy and security risks also has to be considered because electronic health records can make providers vulnerable to malware and Hacks which can pose a serious problem. -Also, Informed consent is another key risk as the patient must be aware of the risks of telemedicine and how the process works and who’ll be in charge of their account. The second fold involves those living in the rural areas as not all of them will have access to Internet connection, and so you can join hands with network providers to bring about a code(It could be 3 digit for easy recollection) and when they dial it they have access to speak with a medical personnel. That way even if you can’t afford a phone with internet connection, you’re still well catered for and you’ll agree with me that everyone loves to see that they are loved and valued and bringing in this innovation would actually show that the masses are also considered which will drive Them to adopt this innovation. The final fold has to do with putting stationed fully equipped mobile Ambulances or Vans that will have at least a standby Doctor and Nurse in streets,Junctures and countries, you’ll agree with me that not everyone can be treated virtually and so this idea is for those who’ll need to have surgeries or even accident emergencies .It’ll also prevent people from gathering around like they’ll normally do in the hospital. I believe that with this innovation with A proper feasibility study,SWOT Analysis. It can be achieved And if capitalized upon well, would yield fruitful results.
