The key challenge is to do with the mental health issues compounded by Covid. In areas where suicide rates have rocketed and where PTSD rates are high many other mental health issues have come into play.
The key challenge is to recognize that those with the virus and those mental health issues were effected by the isolation and anxiety of the period are storing up mental health issues for the future and are likely to overwhelm the system when virus has been brought under control. It is opportune and important therefore to capitalize on the good will that has been exemplified in many communities where people pulled together to help those less fortunate than themselves. Failure to act accordingly will bring pressure on Mental health teams, a higher suicide rate and general mental ill-health among the very young and the very old and those on the margins of society
