EVERYONE in Britain will be invited to have the vaccine injection, plus a 2nd one some time in the future.
I suggest that everyone should be invited to fill out a brief, tick-box style health check before immunisation, preferably online. Those who do not, or cannot, fill in the form online will be able to do so at the immunisation venue if they wish, with help if needed (perhaps using volunteers?).
One ‘red-flag’ question should ask whether they have put off seeing their doctor or calling 911/111 due to the Covid Pandemic.
As well as tick-box questions, any other health issues or concerns could be written into an additional box.
The online form could be screened before the immunisation jab, and anyone deemed needing to see a doctor urgently could be seen briefly at the time of immunisation, or prioritised an appointment at their Doctor’s surgery. Concerns deemed non urgent could be followed up via a telephone triage call, either from a doctor, or a nurse. Those with no health issues are sent a text or given a leaflet saying they seem in good health, but reminding them to not delay in contacting a doctor if any health issues do arise.
For those who have already had their first vaccine, their health check will have to be done at their 2nd injection.
