Sound asleep club – Creating online communities to help people relax and sleep.

Inspired by wanting to help people struggling with anxiety and overwhelm in the first lockdown, I created live online sound meditations for key workers and communities, to help them relax and sleep.

Uptake and feedback was amazing:

This led to the creation of the sound asleep club in November 2020, whose mission is to help people’s mental wellbeing and quality of sleep, by providing innovative live online bedtime classes to help people relax and unwind their mind before bed, creating an online community of care.

There are many apps with pre-recorded content, but we believe our ‘live’ class approach is a powerful way to engage and support people. The club provides a collective experience where people come together in a supportive environment and learn different practices that could help their wellbeing and daily lives, including breathwork, sound meditation, yoga. All from the privacy and comfort of their own home.

We are currently prototyping and testing a national service for people needing help with either their mental wellbeing or ability to sleep. Building partnerships to support frontline NHS workers, charities and vulnerable communities. We believe covid presents an opportunity to develop innovative, affordable scalable mental wellbeing services.

We have just registered as a community interest company and are on a mission to create a social business that allows these classes to be offered to NHS frontline workers and vulnerable communities for free. Giving back to the frontline workers who have been there for us all throughout this challenging time.
