Dealing with loneliness

The coronavirus has affected the mental health of millions, radically existing existing trends of alienation and isolation affecting health. This has accelerated existing trends of loneliness, which affects all age groups, but is most common in older people. The internet has allowed people to group in communities of interest, but this has had polarising effects – leading to echo chambers – to the detriment of society at large.
