Our National health service has many job vacancies

The strain the Pandemic Covid 19 has placed on our NHS has highlighted a shortage of workers, particularly skilled workers, in all parts of the Health service and social care. Hospitals and care homes are chronically short of staff, the gaps being filled by locums who are more costly to employ. This puts further strain on permanent staff and increases the likelihood of transmission of Covid from one place to another. We also appear to have a generation of teenagers feeling despondent and anxious about their future prospects, if not frankly suffering from mental health problems.
